What to Expect On Your First Visit
Thank you for choosing West End Acupuncture. Whether this is your very first experience with acupuncture or you’ve benefited from it before, we’re excited to meet you. After booking, you’ll receive intake forms by email to complete in advance.
When you arrive at our Portland clinic, you’ll meet with either Zach or Justine. Your first session includes:
A detailed discussion of your health history, current symptoms, and goals
Traditional Chinese Medicine assessments, including pulse and tongue diagnosis
Orthopedic testing for pain conditions such as back pain, sciatica, shoulder pain, or migraines
A personalized acupuncture treatment
Additional therapies, as needed, such as cupping, dry needling, gua sha, moxibustion, or Red Light Therapy

We can provide insurance receipts (Superbills) for reimbursement if your plan covers acupuncture in Portland, Maine. Check with your provider for coverage on services like acupuncture for migraines, back pain, or sports injuries.
We accept cash, all major credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of service.
Cancellation Policy
We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations will be charged in full. To make changes, please log into your patient portal or contact us via text, phone, or email.
