Meet Zach & Justine
-
Zach Haigney, L.Ac.
Founder & Licensed Acupuncturist
Zach is the owner and founder of West End Acupuncture. A licensed acupuncturist with over a decade of experience, Zach specializes in treating pain conditions, sports injuries, and stress-related disorders. He earned his Master’s in Acupuncture from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York and has completed advanced certification in Sports Medicine Acupuncture. Before moving to Maine, Zach practiced in a busy Manhattan integrative clinic, working side-by-side with physicians and physical therapists – an experience that honed his collaborative approach and deep understanding of musculoskeletal health.
In the treatment room, Zach’s style is both analytical and caring. He takes time to pinpoint the underlying causes of your discomfort and enjoys “nerding out” on the science behind acupuncture, ensuring treatments are evidence-backed. Patients appreciate his down-to-earth demeanor and clear explanations; whether you’re a professional athlete or a desk worker with back pain, Zach will tailor a plan that fits your lifestyle and goals. Outside of work, he’s an avid surfer and meditation practitioner – interests that reflect his belief in balancing activity with mindfulness.
