Our Providers

Zach Haigney, L.Ac.

Zach Haigney is a licensed acupuncturist and the owner of West End Acupuncture. He specializes in treating a wide range of conditions, with a particular focus on pain management and musculoskeletal health, as well as stress, anxiety, immune support, and digestive health.

Before moving to Maine, Zach practiced in Manhattan for five years, collaborating closely with physicians, physical therapists, and chiropractors at SHIFT Integrative Medicine. He has worked with a diverse range of patients, including cyclists, runners, CrossFit athletes, yogis, dancers, and golfers, helping them manage pain, accelerate healing, and enhance athletic performance.

Zach earned his acupuncture degree from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in Manhattan and is a licensed acupuncturist in Maine, New York, and New Jersey. He completed advanced training in the year-long Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification program, led by Matt Callison, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of athletic injuries and orthopedic conditions. Zach also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Philosophy from Boston College.

Justine Wenger, L.Ac

Justine Wenger, M.S., L.Ac., is a licensed and board-certified acupuncturist specializing in women’s health, skin care, digestive support, hormonal balance, and nervous system regulation. A graduate of the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in Manhattan, she integrates acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory with personalized dietary and lifestyle counseling, offering a comprehensive, holistic approach to healing.

She is certified by the NCCAOM in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and is a Certified Root Cause Dermatology Practitioner. Over the past several years, she has collaborated closely with Kristina Holey, a holistic skin specialist, and worked as a Skin Health Consultant for Marie Veronique Skincare.

Originally from the Midwest, she lived and practiced in NYC before moving to Maine with her ocean-loving family. She finds inspiration through travel, cooking, a hilly walk, good books, and various writing projects.


Payment + Insurance 

We accept cash, all major credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of service. If your insurance plan covers acupuncture, we can provide a Superbill with the necessary codes for you to submit for direct reimbursement.

Cancellation Policy

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations will be charged in full. To make changes, please log into your patient portal or contact us via text, phone, or email.

First Visit

Once your appointment is booked, you will receive an email with forms to complete, including personal information, health history, and consent forms.

Your first visit includes a detailed discussion of your health history, current symptoms, and goals. Zach or Justine will assess your pulse and tongue, conduct orthopedic tests (for pain conditions), and review treatment plan options. You will receive acupuncture during this session, along with recommendations for additional modalities that may be beneficial, such as moxibustion, cupping, or Red Light Therapy.

Follow-up visits are 60 minutes. We will continuously adjust treatments based on your needs and progress.
